On Friday I paid a visit to Southsea and Hayling after work at lunchtime. Southsea, not enough wind - 8 to 10 mph (6.5 biggest), but safe. Hayling was high tide and there were about 6 surfers in the water trying to catch what were about 6 to 8' very fast waves from about 200yrd out, and a massive dump. Errrm, very scary stuff and I think I'll give it a miss today. If it'd been windy I might have had a go, but I didn't fancy bobbing around in that stuff!
Gonna whimp out looking like lots of rain on the southcoast and a marginal wind forcast.
Looks like a trip up to Brog with the bike and kits as theres a NE forcast at 17mph if you can live with the slog back up the lake
