Abu Soma is based 45 minutes south of Hurghada in Egypt, a truly un spoilt paradise for windsurfers and kitesurfers. I was based there for 5 months during the winter of 2007/08 working as a sailing and windsurfing instructor for Mark Warner Holidays. The video pretty much sums up my time there and shows the lifestyle of being on the water everyday, also experiencing the delights of 1000 Russians descend to our previously quiet and peaceful resort to run the 'Russian Wave' competition consisting of windsurfing freestyle, slalom, kitesurfing and wakeboarding. And you thought the Brits partied hard!
