A couple of weeks ago a great looking forecast cropped up for a location close to Wissant, France, so Theo Reynal and Antoine Martin (JP / NeilPryde) set off in search of big waves and winds of up to 50 knots. Unfortunately, though this time around the forecast didn’t quite produce, so the hopes of attempting more triple pushloops will have...

Maybe one of the last "warm" days at the baltic sea, it`s getting cold too fast. I sailed at my favorite spot "Brasilien" (baltic sea) where I learned windsurfing in 2003 and I still love this place!
Thanks a lot to Bo Roosch for filming on that day!

National Watersports Festival - 2015

Filmed at the National Watersports Festival on Hayling Island in the UK - the birthplace of windsurfing (apparently). Such a great event with wind or no wind. The real highlight was seeing how many younger kids were at the beach who will hopefully be inspired to pick up a board and get on the water in the near future themselves.
The evening light was amazing and in the background, of most of the shots, is my home town of Portsmouth. I may not live in a windy paradise but it is a beautiful part of the world to call home. When it is windy though it can be an incredible place to be, you just have to get in the car and go explore.
I actually really like the tow in windsurfing discipline. It might not be real windsurfing, as there is obviously no wind. But as a spectator and for impressing the crowds it does a great job and is also nice to film.
A big thanks to everyone responsible for making the festival what it is.
