Day 3: A Lay Day With Winds Remaining Marginal Throughout There were two contrasting forecasts for the third day of the 2019 Marignane PWA World Cup and unfortunately the model predicting less wind was the correct one. On several occasions the wind did appear as though it would kick in, but those periods of wind proved too brief to allow any further racing to be completed. Day 2: A Tricky First Day of Racing Produces Plenty of Talking Points & a Few Notable Upsets The second day of the 2019 Marignane PWA World Cup saw the opening eliminations of the season begin, but it was anything but plain sailing with marginal winds, fluctuating between 7-17 knots, making equipment selection and racing in general quite tough. While there may have only been a couple of hours of racing today there were plenty of upsets and talking points by the end of the afternoon…

The opening day of the 2019 Marignane PWA World Cup saw the sailors receive a warm welcome upon arrival, but unfortunately the racing remained on hold with the wind teetering on the edge for much of the afternoon. That meant that several sailors ventured out on to the water to tune up a little bit ahead of tomorrow’s expected wind. 29 girls have signed up for the women’s contest, which is one of the biggest fleets in recent years, while there is a full 64-man fleet in the men’s division.

Tag 4 der LUMIX Photo Adventure auf den Inseln von Tahiti...führt uns nach Bora Bora, zur Perle des Pazifiks. Mehrere Luxushotels liegen auf den Motus des Saumriffes und bieten Overwater-Bungalows an, die auf Stelzen in die Lagune hineingebaut sind. Wir haben das Glück im Sofitel Bora Bora Private Island zu logieren. Bei einer Quad Tour auf den Bergen von Bora Bora folgte eine Sunset Tour mit Feierabendbierchen. Ein Traum! The 2019 season of the TWS Pro Slalom Trainings have oficially come to an end. We´ve seen the amount of participants increasing and also we can add some new nationalities to our list. People are coming from all corners of the world which we really appreciate. The 2019 season has been a really good season with lots of PWA riders, international riders and also national riders from all kind of different countries. We can conclude that it was a really busy winter with more than 95 riders

Day 5: A Drama & Emotion Filled Final Day Sees Sarah-Quita Offringa & Amado Vrieswijk Eventually Crowned King & Queen of Bonaire The final day of the 2019 FORSA Bonaire PWA World Cup was billed as Super Saturday and in the end it didn’t disappoint with a mix of emotion and drama making for a fitting finale in front of a packed out crowd, who created a football match-esque atmosphere which spurred the world’s best freestylers to push even harder in the pursuit of victory.
