Un nouvel angle sur ce séjour merveilleux.
Même après plusieurs voyage là-bas, on ne s'en lasse pas ! Arrivée à Tana puis direction Diego Suarez avec un détour imprévu à Nosy Be, on prend enfin le bateau temps attendu, qui nous amènera chez Nicolas Martin (Babaomby Island Lodge). Endroit paradisiaque pour y faire du windsurf et tout autre sport nautique (surf, kitesurf, pêche, ...). Dès le premier jour, on veut se mettre à l'eau. On aperçoit au loin un rider faisant de la balançoire, s'éclatant dans l'eau après chaque réception. On se dépêche donc tous d'allez plancher pour titiller l'aileron dans l'eau turquoise de la mer d’Émeraude. Après avoir exaucé notre fantasme le plus profond, on en trouve un nouveau, allez aux "vagues".
Après ce passage à Babaomby (se prononce "Babaomb"), une visite sur la côte ouest s'impose. On finit donc par retourner à la capitale en 4x4, en une dizaine de jours.

Some clips we had from the Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival 2012 in Pozo Izquierdo.
After spending months organizing the PWA @ their home brake though their Club Morenotwins, they had some time off to enjoy their conditions! 50knots of wind. Sailing on Severne Blade 3,0 and 3,4 only and Starboard QUAD 70L board.

I spent two weeks on Sal without scoring a single decent windsurf session. For the day I had to leave a big swell was forecasted so we got to the beach before sunrise. The swell wasnt that clean yet and was hitting mostly the outside point and the shorebreak without forming a proper shoulder. It took a couple of hours until the wind filled in just a little. I didnt think I had good chances to make it through the shorebreak but somehow made it to the outside. What followed was a bit more than an hour Ponta Preta for only couple of surfers and me. I only could catch a handful of waves before had to leave the water, get all my gear in a taxi and head to the airport. A few waves that made my day and the trip.
