On Day 5 of the Fly! ANA Yokosuka PWA World Cup the wind wasn't enough to hold slalom competition but the guys got out on the water and had some foiling fun.

Before the Gran Canaria PWA event the conditions were the best most of the pros ever saw in Pozo: The wind was howling with storm force and there were also super high waves which made the preparations something very special. And that is why Robby produced a special clip about this time. Riders: Robby Swift K-89, Jules Denel FRA-41, Leon Jamaer G-208, Antoine Martin F-193, Jake Schettewi USA-25....

The first mens elimination of the year completed and we have a result! Julien Quintal takes the first position and we made a start on elimination 2.

Gran Canaria’s “beach” Pozo opens the wave season and like usual, it was very windy. Robby Swift K-89 sailed excellently and managed to finish in an awesome 6th place! Jules Denel FRA-41, Leon Jamaer G-208 and Antoine Martin F-193 sailed solid heats but were not able to repeat their last year’s top-10 paces. The event kicked off today as the women complete a result for elimination 1. In the men they sailed right up until the end of the day, just leaving the finals to be sailed another day.

It's day two of the Fly! ANA Yokosuka PWA World Cup, and the sailors are still waiting for the wind to kick in. Meanwhile the riders head out on foils, and compete head to head in an SUP race.

The German SURF magazine features a comprehensive article about HydroFoil-Windsurfing in their August issue: “READY FOR TAKE OFF” JP team rider Sebastian Kornum DEN-24 shows the basics of foiling combined with useful tips. SURF journalist Stefan Goelnitz was really impressed by Sebastian’s abilities because after 2 hours of sailing and 50 jibes, Sebastian returned to the beach with a dry shirt.
