Hard work for the NorthSails Slalom team at the Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam 2017.

4th place: Pierre Mortefon After amazing 5 days of intense racing, and 8 eliminations our NorthSails top slalom gun Pierre Mortefon won 2 eliminations and had to swallow a bad tasting throw-back in elimination 7. Pierre was on second position in the final right behind AA and got taken down by out-of-control Taty Frans in a horrible crash. Despite physical and psychical damages such as back and foot pains, Pierre could put the crash behind him and finish the last elimination of the event on 4th securing 4th overall in the event. Pierre is now sitting on a solid 3rd place in the PWA Slalom overall ranking and with for sure fully attack again in the last 3 outstanding PWA evens of the season.

Elsewhere our other top Slalom contenders Jordy Vonk and Marco Lang could partially demonstrate their potential. Marco finished elimination 5 on a great 6th place and Jordy elimination 6 on 5th.

Fingers crossed for the last 3 events and good recovery for Pierre.
