In Japan, 5 JP riders finished in the top-10! From these riders Nicolas Warembourg, FRA-531 could not participate as he competed at the Defi-Wind at home in France. The other 4 riders again managed to storm into the top-10 here in Catalunya in the FOILING discipline and just like in Japan, Sebastian Kornum DEN-24 was the best JP “foil rider”!
.Sebastian states,“I am happy with the podium finish! The encouraging thing is that I was always able to make my way up through the fleet even when I was only 10th at the first buoy. We had some dangerous sailing that I had to avoid a couple of times, so, I hope we will soon have rules and maybe everyone with helmets! The Hydrofoil 135 is a very nice board …After my injury, I was on the slalom board first time this season in Japan. I was fast but it puts much more stress on my SI-joint than foiling does, and this is the reason I decided not to compete in Slalom at Costa Brava but to concentrate on foiling. I think it paid off …”
Sebastian knows how to do it
Mateus Isaac also proves his consistency in this discipline because he finished in 5th position in this event, too.And also Malte Reuscher and Amado Vrieswijk make the top-10!Congratulations for pushing the limits in foiling!

The hopes of Malte Reuscher did not materialize:In one run he finished 3rd and then hoped for more such great results. Malte was super confident because he had the necessary speed but unfortunately he suffered from small tactical mistakes and inconsistency.
Malte celebrates!
This time it was Amado Vrieswijk who was the most successful slalom racer in the JP team. And Amado has many reasons to smile in his first year of competing in this PWA discipline. Amado feedback,“Another event is over and I’m proud to say that I could achieve my best result to date in a PWA event slalom-event. A 15th place was more than I expected !
