Hard work pays off! Jordy Vonk showed us in his previous video clip that he was training really hard over the winter month and already @ the PWA event in Korea he already found himself in the winners final, but due to the lacking wind the contest was not completed. Now at the PWA event in Yokosuka/Japan Jordy managed to manoeuvre himself into the top two and the flying Dutchman, who has looked dangerous both here and South Korea, deservedly earned himself his best result in an elimination so far as he secured a brilliant second place – what a great start to the season!
Jordy: “Super happy to get my first PWA podium! I felt confident starting the tour this year and was already putting my aim high willing to step on the podium. To make it straight on the first event with a result is simply amazing. Of course it would have been better to have more eliminations done and also the seaweed didn’t allow us the most fairplay conditions. But I was all the time on top of my game so for sure I feel like I deserve to be on that podium. Thanks Fanatic for providing me with the amazing gear, can’t wait to be up on stage again!”
