Wells Windsurf Permits – Time To Renew Guys…..

As we brought to the attention of all who read this blog, Wells-Next-To-Sea is one of the best spots in the UK to sail but for years we all sailed it without the necessary permit. With the location getting even better to sail and more often I am posting this to stress how important it is to get a Wells sailing permit.

In 2013 only 5 windsurfing permits were purchased from the Harbour Office in 2014 leaving the possibility of enforcement being introduced. We at Quayside Windsurfers want to stress that if you sail at Wells with no permit you open yourself up to your sailing insurance being invalid if you were to have an accident (it has happened!) and also loosing our voice we currently enjoy at all Wells Harbour Users Committee. This means nets, pots, and even dredging could be introduced totally ruining our much loved sailing area.

So come on guys, you enjoy the beautiful sailing conditions at Wells………. so maybe its time we all put our hands in our pockets to keep it that way
