The second edition of the PWA  Junior Championship in 2018 took just place from the 2nd until the 6th of January at the Victor Fernandez Center in Almerimar, Spain. Unfortunatley there were no waves, however 11 Slalom Races could be completed with east and west winds. More than 40 participants from seven nationalities joined the event – Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, United Kingdom and Italy. The lack of wind was also filled with a lot of other activities, like a SUP Race or a Body Pump lesson to make sure the youngsters had a good time!

Victor Fernandez: “The Victor Fernandez Center was proud to host that event again and we are stoked that our opinion leader Jose Antonio Casanova finished 2nd! I am very happy with the level offered by the young competitors, it´s great to see them growing!”

Jose Antonio Casanova: “I’m super happy with my second place in the PWA Youth World Cup Almerimar U20, it’s been an amazing start of the year! We competed 11 heats in Slalom with various winds and the level was pretty high. I  had a lot of fun both inside and outside the water, mainly because of the incredible company of all the competitors/friends. Big Thxs to Victor Fernandez for organizing this!”

The third edition of this event will take place from January 2nd till 6th 2020.
