The 2017 Futura 117 features an aggressive shape and comes with top-class slalom fittings: ultralight, hydrophobic adjustable footstraps and a top-of-the-line Drake Slalom DW fin. It is the widest and shortest board of this test group, with a domed deck under the feet and a recessed mast track area.

On the Water:

The Starboard Futura's racing DNA is obvious as soon as you step on the board, with potential for efficiency. Its iSonic heritage is noticeable straight away, as it transforms every little breeze into acceleration. Board with the smallest quoted volume of the test group, the Futura is nonetheless the first to get planing, with a hull that efficiently provides lift and power, even at low speeds and in light winds.
