At the NWF, you will be used to watching hundreds of competitors Smoke on the Water, but this year, there will also be A Fire in the Sky!

Spectacular night events have always been a special part of the NWF, with floodlit races and backlit freestyle displays from World Champion windsurfers. But this year, the NWF is taking to the sky with some Formation Fireworks; wingtip pyrotechnics and LED light shows from a pair of Grob 109 gliders will paint pictures in the night skies and over the still surface of Rutland Water.

AeroSparx is coming to the NWF! With their new sponsor, the national outdoor store BLACKS, AeroSparx is the only pyrotechnic glider team in the UK licenced to fly at night. AeroSparx performed a spectacular aerial firework display on the One Show to honour the Queen on her 90^th Birthday.

One of the world-renowned display pilots, Rob Barsby, is a former GB Windsurfer, who was sponsored by Anglian Water, so it is almost like a homecoming for AeroSparx to perform over Rutland Water!
