A few days ago it was officially confirmed that there would be an exciting new addition to the Women’s PWA Wave World Tour as well as a Qualifier for the Men. Local Moulay hero Boujmaa Guilloul (Starboard / Severne / Mystic / Shamal Sunglasses) has played an instrumental part in bringing the PWA to his home land of Morocco in an event that will be held in association with the International Windsurfing Tour (IWT).

This means that for 2018 the women of the wave sailing world will be battling it out on at least 4 occasions - Morocco, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Sylt, Germany. With the event officially confirmed the start of the 2018 PWA World Tour is just around the corner with the Women’s Morocco PWA World Cup kicking off 1st April until 7th - while the Men’s Qualifying will run in conjunction with the IWT between the 27th March - 7th April.

Boujmaa Guilloul on bringing the world tour to his home country: “The PWA and IWT Morocco event has been a dream for me to organise in Morocco to keep pushing the limits of windsurfing outside the water, i really would love to see the sport growing around the world and in my country specifically, I wish that through windsurfing we can bring a change to our world and our communities, it is a challenging dream but in Morocco dreaming the impossible is a reality. We hope to see more events like this coming every year in our country and be the difference the world needs, the entire country with its people and government is behind this and I wish that Mother Nature will be at our side ;) See you all soon in Morocco .”
